November 2007 was a glorious trip to our favorite mountain retreat. The leaves were plentiful and they were spectacular. We had never witnessed such beauty! Sandy, her sister, Debbie, her friend, Lisa, and I made up the group. It wasn't too cold. We went to the stamp store. We discovered much to our sadness that Hop Sing's was closed. We hope not for good. The Olympic Flame restaurant is now a diner of sorts. But the Pizza Hut is still there! Yeah! We shopped Black Mountain. Boy, was it crowded! These tourists have to realize that this was our weekend and should leave this village for us. Got lots of apples on our return trip as usual. We hope to venture once again to this glorious place next November. But sad to say one of our group will never again be physically present. Our friend and my adopted library mom, Pat, is now with the angels. She will always be with us in spirit.
